Uttaranchal Hospital and Diagnostic Centre organized program on Menstrual Health, Hygiene and Nutrition for adolescent girls at Ann Marry School, Dehradun on 23 August 2024. The event, attended by more than 600 girls, aimed to educate and empower girls on essential aspects of menstrual health & hygiene.
Dr Satwinder Kaur, RMO, Dr Harshita Joshi, RMO, UHDC, delivered the presentation, covering crucial aspects of menstrual health, hygiene and nutrition. The doctors addressed common myths and misconceptions about menstruation, emphasizing the importance of proper hygiene practices and a balanced diet. The interactive sessions allowed the girls to engage in open discussions, raise questions, and share their experiences.
The program was attended by Mrs Neena Uniyal, Principal, Mrs Pallavi Gupta, Vice Principal, Mrs Rita Pandey, Coordinator and other staff members of the school.
